VAT Registration in Dubai

How to Register for VAT in the UAE?

Taxable persons with a minimum turnover of AED 375,000 and above must register with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) via the official website www.tax.gov.ae. The Tax Registration Number (TRN) will be issued by the FTA upon successful VAT registration in the UAE. Al Fakher Accounting can assist businesses through every step of the VAT registration process, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT laws and avoiding any penalties for late or incorrect registration.

Online Dubai VAT Registration Procedure

In the UAE, VAT registration must be completed through the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) website. Al Fakher Accounting assists businesses in navigating the process seamlessly to ensure compliance and avoid administrative penalties.

Steps to Register for VAT in the UAE

  1. Create an Account on the FTA Portal
The applicant must register online at www.tax.gov.ae.

  2. Complete the VAT Registration Form
The form will require specific business details, including:

    • Description of business activities

    • Turnover figures for the last 12 months

    • Projected future turnover

    • Expected values of imports and exports

    • Whether the business will deal with GCC suppliers or customers

    • Customs authority registration details (if applicable)

  3. Prepare the Required Documents
These may include (but are not limited to):

    • Emirates ID of the authorised signatory (director, owner, or POA holder)
